An Update, VIII
Hey. I need to post here more to rant about my life and shit. Otherwise, I'll forget all about my life in a year or whatever, because my memory stinks. Yeah.
So, um, I guess I'll go with State Solo & Ensemble first. If you saw my dA you already know, but here's super condensed:
Four firsts
Yeah, it went well. (: My solo was a perfect score, and the quartet I think was (I say "I think" because he circled a perfect score (five) but wrote down seven... lol). The choir got a seven or an eight and I haven't seen the judge's sheet for my duet with TJ.
Speaking of TJ, I haven't got the chance to hang out with him much. We were so busy with the musical, and then English decided to take a shit with this research paper or whatever. I just got mine done, like, twenty minutes ago. But anyways, he drove me to church alone last Wednesday but we didn't talk about anything too serious, except about this one time he had an almost-girl friend at church or something when he was around twelve. He's been telling me a lot of these stories lately, and I'm not sure what he's trying to get across. I'll talk to him about it later.
Also all the seniors from TJ's church went bowling yesterday, which was fun. And by all the seniors I mean only four showed up and one brought a friend. It was still cool. We played some billiards, too. We were all terrible except TJ was really good, and AJ and Tiffany (her friend she brought... she's my friend too) were okay.
Oh yeah, the musical. If you forgot (or if I never brought it up?) we did The Wizard of Oz this year. All the planning was so last minute, so I thought it was going to bomb, but it went alright. Not as good as The Beauty and the Beast last year, though. TJ was the Tinman. AJ and Trina and I were all in the pit. I was Horn 1 & 2, Reed 1, and did sound effects on this keyboard. It was very stressful for some reason.
Jenna (this very kind sophomore girl who is a friend of TJ's and mine) keeps on talking about how she's going to miss us seniors when we go (which is in six school days, btw). She even wrote some of us a kind letter. I thought it was so sweet, so I'm writing letters to around seven or so people who mean a bit to me, as well as give them a senior picture (we are running low, so the pictures I give have to be choosy). I wrote a page-long letter to Jenna and a past-best-friend Keith and am on page two of TJ's. I'll also write letters to Khylie (Keith's sweet sister), Katrina (ex-girlfriend), Shauni (a kind freshman) and maybe Carlye, Tiff, Angela, or Katrina (TJ's sis), and some long-distance friends. It feels good to write what I have been. Letters are just so nice, aren't they? (:
Oh, I also called the LGBT Campus Center in UW-Madison, just to see what they're all about. It seems pretty cool I guess. They sent me to their website after the call, and I read a bit more about certain clubs and everything. I think I might look into a mentor, and there was one group I took a liking to, but I forgot which. I unfortunately didn't see one affiliated with Christianity, though.
I guess that's it for today.

You also reminded me that I should send some letters/postcards to a few people.
I think you'll really like university. I'll bet that if you join the normal Christian organization, there will be gay people, and that there are also Christian people in the gay organization. There's also alot of gay people you'll randomly encounter who won't ever bother involving themselves in LGBT stuff. The LGBT clubs are a great place to direct your volunteerism though.
I hope you're right about the LGBT stuff. I am always concerned about the overwhelming "non-Christian gay" to "Christian gay" ratio, but hopefully you're right.
