Hello all,
Just a reminder that if you Fold@Home, to join the FurAffinity team (#60091) and help us reach the top 100 folding teams in the world!
The F@H project runs a small app on your computer systray, which in the background using your system's spare power, calculates the combination of various molecular proteins and minerals in order to find solutions and cures of diseases such as Alzheimers.
You can run it on any machine including Windows, Macs and Linux, and there are clients you can run which use the incredible processing power of your Graphics Card too! (Geforce 8/Radeon 2000 series or better)
Remember, although they only use the spare cycles your system isn't computing with, turn them off for gaming or heavy workstation uses, as they will still slow it down a little.
I'm trying to get a few more people joining as the teams' waned a bit in the last 6 months. Ask if you want any help getting it also!
