...your hands are sweating so much they drop the tablet pen and the tablet already makes your lap 140 degrees... >.< i can't stand this, guys, i'm sorry. >.< i have my fan directly on my lap and i still am in total hell. any suggestions? (i'm in houston... it's still TWO months til the hottest month of the year and i'm not sure how well i'm gonna do. >.<)
edit: I had a small overhead ceiling fan sitting in a box and it has been installed. I feel tons better already. :D Hopefully I can say the same tomorrow when it gets super hot again during the day (the sun has officially gone down, so it's gotten a bit cooler outside). I'm going to invest in a more sturdy laptop cooler for my tablet someday soon if I get the money, so thanks to everyone who recommended it!

But... that'd be nice. ; ;
Move to the midwest. It's always facking cold here. 'Cept now, in the blistering heat of the apocalypse doom-fire that is summer :D
adapt
to the weather
I wanna be like Castform from pokemon ;-;
...
oh god what have I done to this poor girl
Im moving to Nebraska in a weeks time (stuck in san antonio here with No AC and a fan in almost every window, and its still 102 in here daily)
hmm... we're gonna try installing a ceiling fan.
God i wish i had the money for a personal window AC right now, my personal computer room would be so much nicer....hell...im just glad as ALL hell that i installed that Mega heatsink on my system or i fear i would have a 200 degree Brick right now >_<
Might work..
Or you might want to try a personal AC unit @ w@
Also try turning out the lights :3c
Never been around laptops, being a gamer myself D:
Sorry, can't help with those~
Well if you could put your laptop on a desk or something.. And have it elevated slightly on some kind of rack, so air could flow under it as well..
You can get special heat shielding for windows to reflect the heat away from the house, it a bit like silver foil and should be carried by hardware shops. It might be worth a try.
Also improving ventilation if possible.
It helped very little sadly but hey might be worth a shot :D
or drawing on a table desk!
So if possible move to a larger room to do work in?
Or maybe invest in an AC unit :)
If you have only 1 or 2 fan vents you could hook them into some ducting and exhaust the heat into a different room or outside ?:)
By keeping the hot air of the computer separate from the room it should help :D
Hopefully, this helps until you get things worked out with the landlord. In many states the landlord must get AC's, water heaters, and plumbing fixed in a certain amount of time after notification.
it's going to be odd if it snows here again this year XDD
A decent swamp cooper costs like $70-$80.
they're like a lap-stand with fans to pull heat away from the laptop- i think it would work with the tablet~

also, i've seen at Walgreens, cooling pads, that literally draw out the heat- i think they were around $10-20, that would work to some extent.
get a window fan that blows air out of the house. Construct a shell on the inside of the fan with one or two dryer pipe openings. Get enough feet of flexible clothes dryer hose to run from the window fan to the computers. Place the open end of the dryer hoses right where the hot air from the computer leaks out. Extra points for creative use of duct tape, clothes hangers, wooden dowels, and found objects. the object is to get the hottest air right from the computer and immediately suck it to the outside.
...you have eyeballs for hands. And eyeballs for feet. And peanuts for eyeballs. And eyeballs for peanuts.
If Texas nights are nice and cool like NM nights, then leave windows open for the cool air to come in and shut them when it gets warm.
It's really hard to draw anything when you're all sweaty, I know how you feel. >.<
It's pretty muggy today, and everyone is all miserable, even though it's only at 14% humidity. xD
For now, I have to go with just a laptop desk that's meant to create a mousepad for a laptop because most laptop cooling desks seem to have very short USB cords that must be plugged into something, and I sit back quite a ways from my desk. So far it's not too bad a compromise!
