Gah, I know I called it but still . . . .
I noticed the MFF schedule is up now, so I looked it over.
Grand total of things I am interested in doing at the con:
One.
They're playing Tales from Earthsea in the video room on Saturday. :/
Very few people I know are going, my bids to find replacement roommates on no notice are failing (no, that is NOT an open call, I'm insanely picky, and everyone I have asked can't make it), I have absolutely NO idea how things work for the art show (I don't even know if I have panels for crying out loud, I sent my check but heard nothing, so I don't dare spend a penny on frames or mats) or artist's alley as in what to charge and what people expect from the artists there . . . and no, I can't treat this as a test run, this is my ONLY con. Seriously, no more for me, I've got vacations planned for the next several years and won't be able to afford the time off (or just plain afford) another one. Hell, I can't afford this one.
Someone want to tell me why I am going again?
*stalks off, tail slamming annoyingly against hotel room doors to piss people off as much as he is*

Eh, I'm feeling a little better now . . . someone very dear to me just gave me a bit of cheering up. I can't help but be stressed now, though.
*checks the schedule* They are showing Paprika too?! aaargh! *faints-
;)
Think ya oughtta try an hook up with m'lil' sis
I'll look up your little sis though, at the very least I'd love to say hi. :)
To find out what all the hubbub about furry cons is, that's why. Personally I figure that my yearly pilgrimage to AC is a display of latent masochism on my part, but that might just be me.
Here’s wishing that despite what looks like shameful disorganization on MFF's part (no information begin given out to the submitting artists, whether or not you have panels, and not making a simple courtesy acknowledgement of having received your check), what sounded like some very immature behavior on the part of your designated roommates, and just the general anxiety of travelling to an event that you've never gone to before, that you still have a good time.
Go with a positive attitude, Tensik. Go with the attitude of you are going to have a good time no matter what.
*lion hugs of sympathy and encouragement*
I'm so sorry. :(
*kidnaps you and Red and Fox and drags you along*
An you could email MFF surely there has to be a email link somewhere on there website and say, i'm alias Tensik a (mean lion) who paid for panels, but this is my first furry convention and nobody got back to me yet? So do i have panels at MFF? DO I? DO I!?
An if not, say i wanna REFUND! ^^
cheers, and whatnot... hope ya have fun inspite of your stomach being twisted in a knot, and your chest burning from the heart burn of weariness.
And I think that heartburn of weariness. is just old pizza.
The artist's alley is changing this year as for signups, so even us 'vets' don't exactly know what to expect this year. As to what you 'get' it's basically just a chair and three feet of tablecloth covered table. Pretty basic. If you're going to do sketches/books/badges or whatnot, you'll want to make up a little price list or something, either printed out or with a cute sketch or something on it to draw interest. Also, bring small bills if at all possible, so you can make change. Furries tend to only have 20s from the atm.
Lastly, why not check out my panel? It's the watercolor one on Saturday afternoon at 3. It's going to be a pretty fundamental demonstration/description of technique, so it's not about copping someone's style or anything. (If you don't go to many panels, that's not a big deal... usually I don't go to any at cons anymore, especially if you've ever seen a similar thing before)
