There was a time I took pride in the fact that my "comments received" count almost evenly matched my "comments given" count. Meaning, on average, for every comment someone gave me -- be it a shout or a note in a stupid photo or a reply in a journal -- I dished out one in return.

I've totally let that count slip. I'm now 2000 comments behind...and I'm totally going to make that right again.

I used to do the same! I've just been busy lately, and kind of fell out of the habit of replying to each of my received comments. Still, I like to let the people who take the time to comment on my submissions or journals know that they don't go unread.
