I don't get it!

Why do shoddy suits posted on some certain online communities get so much more feedback and positive comments than suits that have had a lot of work put into them? I just don't understand! It seems to be happening quite a lot, too...
I'd post examples but I don't want to call out any names and make people butthurt by calling their work shoddy.
I'm influenced a lot by what other people say about my work, even though i try to be tough-skinned. I've noticed this seems to happen with other art too - artists whose art is very same-y, anatomically incorrect and poorly coloured and yet they have hundreds of followers and loads of faves and comments on each piece they post up ._.
Someone explain to me this strange fluke of human behaviour?

Which is nice but when I see piles of fur that might have been pulled from a plughole get responses of "OMGthatsoscuteIreallywannacommissionyou" ????? Then we wonder why most people who are commissionable in the UK turf out shit instead of practising and getting good.
And when you try to give them some constructive advice you get told you're a troll :/
This is the reason I'm not particularly active on the UKFur boards. Like Kanako said most furries are idiots.
