pretty much. When I was learning english, it sounded weird like this. However, the British way of speaking in which I learned how to speak in was quite eloquent and beautiful sounding as I progressed in the cultural lifestyle in Europe. Coming to America, the US accent sounded as though one's mouth was being hit with shovel by an autistic child high on sherbets.

I lived in Connecticut. Supposedly, they say it's the proper way to speak, or so they say. :/ However, I still say it's an accent. Instead of saying "butter", it's "budder" And while the word is "fetish", they say "Fedish". There are of course lazier speech that I have heard. I've heard the phonics English where people some times use in the south or inner city. "He's going to learn him some school" XD Love it. Then there's the Long Island Sound accent, "Chauda". The word is "chowder". That isn't to say all american's way of speaking is bad. Despite the lack of how the word is spelled, I really like the southern accent. I think it's actually brutishly sexy. I like it especially when they say, "Bo, I teach yew uh lessun you neva fo-get!" or there's "Mmmh. Om gonna get me sum con-breeead." 8D
I now live in Canada. I have yet to go to Prince Edward Island. I have heard people from there. Then there's the crappy French in Quebec where hello and good buy is the same word. Toronto has a slight different in English from the US, but not that much.

And yes, I made a typo of good bye and difference, but I'm listening to the video which seems to help.
