EF was an amazing experience. Being my first time, I was really impressed by the size and how professionally done everything was. The staff and organizers really have to be thanked for all their hard work in making it run smoothly and that we all could have a great time.
I got to meet a lot of new furs, some of which I have admired for a long time and some who I have spoken to only online. It was great to get to hang out and just have a real good time both in fursuit and out.
Will I be going back next year? for sure! And this time I will make sure I contribute to it with art and any other way I can :)

I'm not telling that to offend someone, but there are several Ways to minimize the Costs while you stay there.
What you can not avoid is: Con Fee and Travel Costs ...
But what you can minimize is: Costs for Food and Dring and Costs while you live there ... you dont need to stay in the Maritim Hotel to attend. Talk to some German Furs and ask them how to get best along there and it might be possible for the one or the other Fur to attend.

It's not like Magdeburg is very central or very easy to get to by air, to begin with (adding a rather stiff train ticket). Which makes Travel Costs one major aspect. I didn't even look at how much the con fees would add - just the travel alone was too much already.
Sure, you don't have to stay in the hotel, but that too isn't the easiest to arrange otherwise (unless you want to have a stiff commute every day, or just happen to know some German people living there willing to put you up).
It's nice that there is such a large convention in Europe, but for a lot of EU furs it's simply not affordable, except for those living in Germany already that can get travel discounts.
A major problem here is to find an Hotel thats able to hold 1000+ Guests ... and as far as i know the EF-Orga hadnt much of a choice of this big Hotels here in Germany ... plus there need to be a minimum of funcional Space for Sigs ... Dealers Den, Main Stage and so on.
If there would be a better choice, they would take it and i am sure they are always looking for an Alternative ...
What i also do here, is to offer a helping Paw for the Future if somone wants to get the total Costs down, while attending at the Con, just send an PM.

Oh well, now that it's coming to an end maybe I can buy the Bitter Lake DVD online.
Ive yet to suit to a con :c
I've done a couple of models and some animation tests during EF and during the trip, I'll upload them as soon as I'm at home. I'll contribute next year for sure, too :3

okokok i had a big hat which got me some attention too, but i had to be atleast tipsy to handle that attention and not blush to death o.o
