It wasn't that great, I'm afraid. Typical american tv-grade cgi - plastic textures, stiff movements and floaty-ness. For example the postosuchus bounced around like a wind-up bunny. Also the stories were pretty anthropomorphic - a heroic eoraptor rescues his intended bride then literally ninja-kicks a cynognathus out of its burrow directly into the jaws of the attacking postosuchus. Piet and I were watching and about lost our shit laughing. Most of the stories involved male dinosaurs showing off and fighting and females looking on adoringly. Which is a sad missed opportunity because bird behavior (they kept emphasizing how birdlike dinos were) is absolutely full of complexities beyond "boy meets girl, boy dances and fights other boys while girl sits quietly on the sidelines, boy mates with girl" - there's females with male harems, females who keep several husbands at a time (who are mutually ignoarnt of each other) and in the most primitive birds, males do all the child-rearing.

So to sum up: disappointing.
