I was feeling a little lonely today, as I sometimes do when the talks of my younger sisters relationships come up. Although I am usually quite content with my life as is and do not feel the need to justify being without a romantic partner, it sometimes stings a little bit to know that my younger sisters are more successful than I in the field of love, which I so actively pursue through my poetry and art.
("But kaz, wouldn't actively pursuing love be... like... trying to actually find people with similar intresest who--"
LALALALALALALALALALA I CANT HEAR YOUR LOGIC I AM STORY TELLING RIGHT NOW LALALALALALA)
So, as I once suggested to a friend who had a similar feeling of loneliness, I decided to go on eHarmony for shits and giggles - just to remind myself that even if I'm not with anyone, there are still people out there LIKE me that I could grow to like and love.
The message I got at the end of it:
"We're very sorry, but our matching system cannot predict good matches for you."
ouch. It doesn't hurt as much as it could, but it still had a sting that made my self confidence take a few steps back. I knew going into it not to expect very much, but it still made me a little disappointed.
I do know, however, not to take eHarmony as a "OH I SHALL NEVER FIND LOVE NOW. WOE IS ME!" since, hey, it's just a freakin dating site. It does not make or break me and (if) there is someone (or multiple someones) out there in the vast world, it's not incredibly likely they're on a dating site. Besides the fact that I wouldn't even be able to contact any of the people I MAY HAVE been matched up with.
It was still a little bit... of a sour experience.
so yeah.
just thought I'd tell the internet.
and stuff.
I'm bad at journaling, don't mind me.

Don't feel sad! *huggles* don't take even slightly seriously this internet thing! We humans aren't mathematical beings, we can't foresee our actions and can't count our value- and this is what this web is about, counting the things which are same for people and showing results, it doesn't count the amount of love and awesomeness in You! :3
Besides, have fun while You are still young, sweetie! Life is short and shortening Your freedom isn't necessary. Focus on Yourself, on school, family & friends.
There will come a day when a fine good boy will take away Your heart on his own, but YOU will be the who will choose to give Your all to him. Take this thing easy. You are a lovely, intelligent, charming young lady, there are multi good values in You, You just have to BELIEVE in YOURSELF! :)
You're not a statistic, You are an individual, a beautiful individual. You don't have to be like others- to have a relationship because others do- love will come on its own
Chin up and smile, dear! We don't like You when You're sad! *tighthug*
It is just eHarmony, as one of my friends has said, what real people use it anyways? XD Youre quite right. thank you for making me feel better my dear *hugs~*
Your friend is right! :3
You're welcome, hun, I'm glad it made You feel better *cuddle*
