I've picked up on my writing, which is always good news.
The latest Bestiary story really makes me feel like crap while I'm writing. Sometimes I feel like I'm a 'method writer', like a method actor -- but with words. The next creature is asking for a really dark story, and it makes me go into a really sick place. It reminds me of a time of my life that I don't want to relive. The problem is, writers write what we know, so I'm using what I've got -- it just isn't fun to go back to that person and those emotions.
Then I realized: This is a prompt project! Prompts are for jump-starting your inspiration, not to be stymied by them. So I'm taking a break from that story to enter a contest with an approaching deadline. I don't want to mention which one at this time, it'll be more of a surprise that way. The outline and first draft are already underway, so it's progressing nicely so far. And it's much more light-hearted and sexy -- so my frown is turning upside-down. ^^ Plus, there's some weirdness so that's always fun.
I'm still working on edits for a few other stories. And I've been fiddling with the rewrites of Aardvark to make it more furry. I've got the ideas, it's all about dragging them out of my head and turning them into readable sentences.

Now to you:
Thanks so much to all my watchers! I still can't believe there are over six hundred of you looking at my stuff. I know some are here because of High Tail Hall, and I have a few advertisements through the game and livestream; but what is it that you're sticking around for? Whatever your reasons, I'd love to hear them.
Since there seem to be readers out there reading my stories, I've been wondering what you all would like to read, what you wish I did more of, or which story I should revisit and/or revise.
I've seen all those art memes running around, and that's probably what got me into this line of thought. I suppose if I want a writer one, I'd have to just custom it to my needs. Any thoughts? Would a meme with direct questions be better than my fairly vague question embedded in the paragraph?
Also: These are artists that I absolutely love, that need more love. If you're not watching them, you should -- because they are awesome.
vickywyman She did comics in the 80's, and her art is still wonderful. Her style's got a fun naughty-toon look. She also does lots of fantasy creatures and things with wings.
mearu Love how she does fur, and steampunk themes. She also chooses some interesting and unique species for subjects.
tatchit Really awesome wolves and feathers. I like their use of color and the sharp angles of their lines and strokes.
thaily I really dig the frogs. Also they have a very dreamlike style to some of their pieces.
sarah-grey She does quite a bit of work with tea-staining and other traditional media which is so cool, plus her art is very lovely. She has a very Asian style which compliments the staining rather nicely. Her work is so pretty and flowy.
maggock Love her birds. Words can't describe how much I love the parrots she draws. She really captures the essence that is bird. I plan to save up for commissions of my parrots one of these days.
meglyman She's doing wedding stuff atm, but she'll be back. Watch her, she's worth waiting for. Her art is amazing and full of cephalopods. She works in gouache and does wonderful commissions (there's a picture of me as a squid floating around her gallery, that lives in my writing room). Love her stuff.
ultraviolet This girl needs more love. I've always been a fan of hers, and she may not be posting much at the moment, but go through her gallery and see what lovely arts she has. If you like her stuff, fave it and leave her a comment, she's such a nice girl and needs to know how fantastic her work is. Her style and use of color have always been one of my faves -- she also likes dark fantasy themes and creatures.
Thanks again for watching, and commenting. You are awesome, and I appreciate whatever feedback I get. There are more stories on the way.

FA+

(not to mention i also madeu a name sketch :P )
As for why I watch you...this is actually a long process...
At first, I originally supported you cause of Crow's project. After finding out about your storytelling abilities I got hooked more onto watching you. At the time I did lack stories to be reviewed by you as well. After getting a chance to know you more I became more interested in who you were.
After awhile, I wanted to try to at least talk to you, live stream helped with that.
You are one of the original artists I started to watch when I first joined FA. I will be here to show my support.
I didn't know I was one of your firsts. That's pretty cool.
Excellent evening to ya both!
Anyhow thanks for the awesome writing for us to read and enjoy. You and Crow have most excellent evening and day tomorrow!
I think it's the word 'watching' that sounds creepy, and that's not your fault. I've felt the same way when writing thank you's and shouts on migrating accounts. Sometimes when I use 'watching' on this site I keep picturing someone (who looks very much like Umino from Sailor Moon) hanging out in a tree with binoculars cackling and muttering to themselves "I'm watching you!". So no worries, I'm always trying to rewrite sentences so they sound right.
I appreciate the watch and support. I'm glad you can enjoy.
