heres a tip then. Make a area just clear/ into a plains place.

I created a new world, and BAM NPC CITY! 12 buildings, a watch tower, and two big homes, but no smitty.

I started in a forest, and knocked down a tree, and you'll see a single hut near by. Thats the edge of the small 'city'

I think the world name affects the spawnpoint. What'd you name your world? xD;;

Dude, I could not help myself amidst all the work I have to do, I had to try making a new game to see and my jaw DROPPED! I named the world "city" and used your seed, I started right next to a nice lake with a good number of trees, took me about a minuet to figure out the city was behind me, but I just fell in LOVE with the water places and the huge CHASM!! I can't wait! And that city is awesome. I really did NOT know Notch was putting stuff like that in the game to be rendered.
I climbed to the top of the stone watch tower and I see a desert off in the distant and all the grass land gosh...

I'm so use to trees and oceans this is quite different, but it's my new fave world. I've been wanting to do a server for me and friends- this might be the world I start with :D Awesome find!

Heres a tip: if you do happen to stare down an enderman and you have a bow, keep looking at it. Then shoot it twice with a charged shot. Boom, dead enderman.

1.8 has been amazing so far, even though endermen are, albeit unsettling, not exactly a challenge to take down XD
