Today, I decided to pick up my old account of World of Warcraft and I found out a few things that shocked, enraged and saddened me...
For starters, since the last time I used my account (about 5 years at this point) it had been hacked and closed down by Blizzard because it had been used for cheating. (Oh, boy...)
A few hours after working with a lovely young lady over the phone to reinstate my account, I decided to download the 'WoW Armory' app on my iPhone and upon logging in I discovered that my old characters (all high level and with a massive number of hours put into them) had been deleted and replaced by a bunch of haphazardly named, lvl 1 characters of every kind... (even looking at them makes my blood boil)
To top things off, the main reason I wanted to restart playing WoW was to play the new Worgen race.
Since the last expansion I had purchased was 'Burning Crusade', I have to shell out $70 to unlock them. >rolls eyes<
So what started as an impulsive desire to have a quick bit of fun and may be a renewed interest in an old stress reliever, turned into what I can best equate to a swift kick in the balls...
I'm still a bit steamed over the whole ordeal.

Well, if anyone is interested, I'll be opening up 7 commission slots at $10/slot to pay for the needed expansions.
