Back when tv stations shut down after midnight, I remember watching a couple of japanese tv series, both in black and white.
One was the adventures of a doctor in a small town, who was actually a member of the royal family and spent his nights killing baddies ala zatoichi.
The other was a ninja-based series - All I remember was that each episode had this line, "If you go to heaven and meet budda, you will kill him." at the beginning of each episode.
Probably produced in the 60's. Anybody have any ideas?
