not surprising, as my 'influence map' is more a collage than anything, but I had some fun making it and put more work in than it deserved, so, here'tis off-site. Take 2:

There's a bunch of others that I glossed over or just forgot until now. (tack Berke Breathed in there somewhere ), but if I put everything, it would take forever to make, and possibly read.

A long time ago now (so I used the 'early' Garfield style image), but I was a big Garfield fan as a kid, so it was one of my earliest style influences, before animation and more started taking over.

hmm thats fair enough what interests you as a kid is what youre exposed to.Newspaper strips are or at least were a very common exposure for all kids before the internet. And Garfield was the biggest in popularity for a bit I think.

I have about 50% of your influences...maybe a bit more. But I can see where you're coming from, I might have to do one for mine. Glad you shared though. Pretty more to know about you. I always thought your biggest influence was from the WB (drawing style) but of course that's just some of your art style. :)

This has been hurting my brain for the longest time. In your 80s influence pic, who is that female cat person with the blonde hair above the Chippettes? I remember watching that when I was younger, but the name escapes me.

And I was amazed at how influential Ub Iwerks was on the entire animation industry. Amazing what one person can do.

Amazing that I remember all of that, and here I can't even remember my own name from time to time. I sort of miss the days of Heathcliff among other cartoons, but I was a bit more into Ghost Busters and Ninja Turtles during those times.

We share WB and Disney. I was also into some 80's toons (right now I can only remember He-Man and TMNT, though). Never was into TF back in the day, but I did watch a little Voltron and a LOT of Power Rangers.

The WB square brought me memories of finding your art for the first time in December '05 and coming across a Fifi pic accompanied by your observations on the character. I've always loved how your drawing style resembles the look of Tiny Toons so much.
