subitokurai here and i just want to apologize for taking a year to get this thing kick started (course there are two other mods >.>) but alas i'm in college and thus more free than ever so i'll be doin it up right up in hurr!

so now i ask, what do you expect from us here in the group?
if you got recordings of your school's band or maybe your own we'll post it

got pics of ya'll all prettied up for parade or fieldshow alike? we'll post em (bonus points for fursuits)

I'm just ready to have fun with this thing who's with me?

Also, will try to find pics of my high school band when we were in the Washington D.C. St. Patrick's Day Parade.

Okay, I'd rather not. Our field show this year is kind of depressing and horrible. But I did see this earlier and we shared it with the rest of the band. We have high hopes for next year. :)

any pics of you just socializing about? (although bandgeeks are a subculture of the school as a whole and hardly think intermingling between members qualifies as "socializing" as a whole XD)

Thanks! Maybe next year we'll break 40 in the band...
I play trumpet this year, but usually I do flute. It's so different...

that's quite the switch, i recall moving from alto to trumpet oye! it's a whole new world!

Oh, haha! The piccolo... Yup, I tried it at one point and definitely had fun doing it. Too bad it wasn't for actual band purposes. xD

I'm happy that we even got so many people to do it this year. 38 is like the record for our school in such a long time.

Currently scrolling through pics that actually look nice. Shall I email or note?

I'm pretty sure we have like 38 this year and then lost like 4 of them... We've compared to other bands with 200 people in them and compared the pictures as well. We were like 1/10 of the size of theirs.

Yeah, a bigger band does not necessarily mean better. We know that personally. Like the bands that do the high step marching are usually huge, but they tend to sound like shit. They're loud and flashy, that's it. Granted they tend to do really good jobs with their choreography.

Haha, that doesn't sound anything like what we have going on here. The bigger the bands get around here, the better they sound and march for some strange reason.
