hehe it is truly is a classic. Though I did watch it when I was really young so I didn't find it as scary as it was long winded for me. But I have seen it again recently, and it was well done.

Yes and love Scream 1,2 and 4. Hated 3 and won't watch that one again. Scary movie 1 and 2 are good also

A nightmare on Elm Street 1-6 (excluding the 7th), Freddy vs Jason, and the ANOES 2010 remake, Friday The 13th (all but the one with Jason in the future and the remake), Scream 1-3 (the forth wasn't that good), Evil Dead 1-3 (first two were the best), Resident Evil movies, The Howling, Dead Silence, House of 1000 Corpses, Pumpkinhead, Return of The Living Dead (to this day, the Tar-man STILL scares the piss out of me), and The Hills Run Red!

Well, that's about it! I've seen a shit tun more, but those are my faves <3 They're all listed in order too lol! XD

Independant horror tends to have the best and worst. I recomend diving into foreign films because what is a trope for them is not necessarily something we see every day.

The Grudge scared the pants off me and my friends when we watched it.
Despite the bad rap it gets, I actually liked both Paranormal Activity -s. I really love when things are filmed in such that way, like PA and The Blaire Witch Project, and Slenderman stuff (MarbleHornets, TribeTwelve, EverymanHYBRID, etc. on YouTube)

Oh I agree, Paranormal Activity both 1 and 2 freaked me out big time. I have to go see 3 in theaters this weekend! I like the whole "it might happen to you" look, that freaks me out most. No super special effects, and done with a normal hand held camera sorta deal. So creepy!

Really? I found Paranormal Entity to be far freakier than both Paranormal Activity 1 and 2.

for psychological horror "the Shining" is always one of my faves.
For sci-fi horror "alien" and "aliens" are a good double feature.

First - Question: Original or Remake? I loved the remake of House On Haunted Hill.. it was very well done..

So far I have yet to find a favorite horror movie.. I suppose I liked Silent Hill.. my all time favorite horror themed thing is the classic HBO "Tales From The Crypt" series because back when it aired censorship wasn't as prominent as it is now on television.

As such, "Tales From The Crypt" was full of ridiculously gory violence, foul language and tons of sex - without censorship - and was also a series which gave no name actors like Daniel Craig a name for themselves.

I have the remake of house on haunted hill, I really liked it. Tomorrow I am going to see the new paranormal activity movie too.

Yeah the remake was awesome - the sequel remake was shit from what I heard though...

Let me know how Paranormal Activity 3 is.. I kinda lost faith that it would be good.. especially after seeing the first 2 and then seeing Paranormal Entity.. I still say Paranormal Entity is my favorite..
