Aye.. I saw the EB near where I live run out of Halo3 a few years ago, and more recently Gears of War 3 o_O

Heh, Here's hoping I'll be able to actually GET my copy tomorrow morning.

A guy couldnt get a copy of MW3 at Best Buy because they were out so he threatened to shoot them in the parking lot as they left work and threatened to blow up the store. The sad thing is that he wasn't even a 12 year old, he was a grown 'man'.

Its funny how people do such stupid careless things over material possessions that can easily be duplicated infinite times so that there is enough for everyone. I can only guess how many people will be trampled to death this coming Black Friday. Its not so much a guess of IF it will happen, but more so of how many will die just to save $50 off a shit laptop or 3D TV. In fact, you could earn more by placing bets on that rather than clipping coupons and buying the items.

Oh my mistake. I dont know if they were sold out, but apparently it was because they screwed up his pre-order. Either way if they weren't sold out, they could have just sold him a copy right then and there so I must assume they were sold out.

yup...i waited in line for 4 hours at the midnight release of Battlefield 3, store sold out twice that night and had to have trucks come in with more xD

then i get there get my pre-ordered copy and thought someone was gonna shank me on my way to the car

Perks of working in a mall....over 5 stores have it including my job in Target where we have a couple hundred copies....

Part of the pre-order appeal is that you can put any amount of money down towards the game; then you can either pay the rest when you et there on the release date, or just pick it up with it paid in full.

Just get Steam. They had it preloaded for 12am EST (so before midnight) here.

I don't get pre-ordering at all. So you get an extra couple of hours playing a game you'll be bored of in a few months time... I guess I'm not gullible enough to go pre-ordering things.

sooo, I stopped at gamestop tonight on my way home from work, saw a 4 block line, then walked across the street to walmart and picked a copy of Skyrim off the shell.

My local GameStop ran out of the first WoW expansion fairly early, I only got mine that night due to pre-order. Since you're paying the same either way, I figure it's a safe bet to have one reserved in my name, waiting for when I get there.

Yup i was quite lucky that i pre-ordered mine befor hand, one very odd thing is that you would think that MW3 would be more poplular on a military base than Skyrim, but i was wrong, VERY wrong

i've seen it happen several times before. but it's so uncommon that i don't remember what games they were. it was during the first playstation and playstation 2 eras. i've heard of it happening to some super nintendo games too.
