You People And Your Requests...

Yea, you know who you are. I'm not dead, and I haven't forgotten you guys. I did realize, however, that I've jumped in over my head with the 3000 requests. Regardless, a deal is a deal, and I'm working on them. It's just going to take some time, and in the end it may not be /that/ great. As it is several of the requests call for realistic anatomy, and I suck at realism. Not much practice.
Anyway, I'm currently in the process of doing one that calls for Timon and another Meerkat. The requester knows who he is. I haven't done any sketches of the desired image yet, but I'm working up some face-designs for the other meerkat, and I'm going to see if he likes any of them.
I'm not doing the requests in any particular order. It goes based on a few criteria: Ease of drawing, internal inspiration, and personal interest. And that is what it sounds like. I'm going based on how much I want to draw it. However, that doesn't mean I'll never draw something I don't personally like. It simply means that it may take me longer.
Internal inspiration and personal interest are different. The inspiration part shines in the Zazu and Timon picture I drew. It looks awesome. And that's because I spent a long time thinking about how I wanted the scene to look when I wrote about it, and even more when I drew it. The image came to me on the first try because I'd thought about it so much. And it came out really well.
Anyway, I'm exceptionally tired, and only wanted to give an update. I'm going to eat my chili while I scan in the sketches of Meerkat heads I've drawn and link this guy to 'em so he can say if he likes any of them. Then I'm going to go to bed.
