I'm just glad this movie was released to warn us of the long-standing terror of Soup.
For the longest time Soup has gone unnoticed by us as we toss it around so freely. But this movie brought all of its horrible truth to light. And I will now reflect on that truth.
1. Soup causes acid rain.
2. Soup causes holes in the O-Zone.
3. Soup creates Soup Monsters.
Please, PLEASE stop making Soup before it's too late.

Okay, so there's a point in the film that I THINK they were trying to imply that Despereaux and his brother were doing the 'not yet sleepy' thing that kids do these days, where they're not tired so they're goofing off and horsing around, and so dad comes barging in and gets mad. Well...It wasn't played quite right, and so the connotation that I picked up was dad barging in on an awkward exploration moment between the two brothers. Could just be me, but...
Bottom line, the movie IS worth it to the Rat and Mouse lovers out there. Anyone else may or may not appreciate it, but I did.

thanks for posting this, i've been wondering whether that film was any good or not. i'll have to give it a look-see sometime.
