trans person murdered not far from where i live. sick of thi

Wow, just wow. I am so sick of crap like this. I fucking hate living in Detroit. There was once a time in which I stood by my city in hopes that it would one day get better. But now... but as of this past year... I just wanna leave. I just found this news out just today. Here is the link

This is not far from where I live... this makes me terrified to do something as simple as go on a date. I am working myself very hard with school and building a career so I can get the fuck out of this city. I do not believe in god but I do have the utmost sympathy for the family of this person. Wanna know what disturbs me the most though? This story came up and school and the response I heard from some of the classmates I have was "well... that's what you get for trying to pass herself off as a woman when she was a man." The people in my class did not care at all that her arms and legs were cut off leaving only a burned torso, they could not get past her being trans. Un-fucking believeable.

It is NOT ok to hate / murder / kill.
To all within the LGBT community, we gotta watch ourselves and be SMARTER then the fuck heads who do this crap. I hope this person rides the lightning for what they did.
