I just want to know where peta was in 1989 when super mario bros 3 was released. They didn't complain then and they have no right to now.

Yeah, I think they have too less to do. I mean, who would really think, after seeing Tanooki-Mario, that he took a tanooki and skinned it alive to wear it's skin as a costume?

Hey there! First thanks for the watch! Second, I saw this journal and just had to comment.

PETA is crazy. If the general public knew exactly how corrupt and crazy they are, people wouldn't support them. It appears that they stand for the ethical treatment of animals, but that's not really true. They support the idea of "total animal liberation." IE: All animals are free from human "control." That means NO pets. No service dogs (not even for the blind). No animal research facilities for biomedical science (they firebomb research places). That means no insulin (since it contains animal products), as well as many other medical tools. PETA is insane.

If you really want to support animals, donate to local shelters. They're the ones that really need the help. Spread the word about spaying and neutering pets. Encourage people to adopt. That's the stuff that makes a difference.

As for protesting the Mario game.... LOL LOL LOL. *facepalm* Because yeah, when I play Mario and get my Tanuki suit and fly around, my first thought is to go get a Tanuki pelt to wear so I can be just like the game yay! I haven't seen the latest Mario, so I don't know exactly how different it is from the old ones, but who's to say the Tanuki outfit isn't just a costume? Who ever said it was real fur. Gah, PETA. Eat my ass.

Sorry for getting up on my soapbox there for a minute, but PETA is a topic that really lights a fire under my ass and any time I can spread a little education I try to. Back to your regularly scheduled program. XD

Yeah, dunno what they had in mind when they started all this "Vs. Mario" campaign. In some points I can understand them like when they asked everyone on the internet to help to find that sick person who threw puppies in a river, there they did good work, but sometimes this over-the-topness of them is a bit too much. Also everyone sees that the tanooki costume of Mario is sewed from textile and not a skin of a real tanooki...
