Crunchy or chewy?

Chewtoys should be both chewy and crunchy.
Friends should be just chewy.
Food should be neither, as it is meant to be gulped down whole.

There is, of course, a lot of overlap between these categories though...

I'm not strictly predatory! Most often I eat anthros and ferals, and I'm not very picky about species, but I'll also eat food made from vegetables. Equines, birds, reptiles, canids and cakes are the best foods.

But there is one thing I never eat - dead meat. If a creature isn't still struggling, I won't touch it, won't even go near.

So playing dead is a good way to avoid being eaten by you then?

There are better ways. Playing dead might work in some circumstances, but you would have to be convincing from a distance. If I get suspicious, expect to be repeatedly poked with a stick.

When I said "won't even go near" I was thinking about stuff like cooked meat. Small people eat some hideous things...

*Ponders* So looking cooked would work better then? *Laughs*

But yes, i see what you mean. At least, armored plates tend to resist excessive poking. But at the same time, is being eaten really that bad after all...

Oh, now that's an easy question to answer! Being eaten isn't bad at all. You get the satisfaction of knowing you've helped to prevent a giant lizard's hunger!
