It wasn't the start to the season we were looking for, but we shouldn't feel too disappointed. It's only the preseason; it wasn't our day. G Lord Pichupal played a terrific game under pressure, saving 39 of 43 shots. D Kurt Weaver contributed with a goal and an assist. We'll aim to generate more offence and cut down the shot count come the season.

I'll keep an eye on Hamilton's next game to see whether we were up against a big-time player or a mid-table team.
