Children do still use their imagination!
I just got back from my aunt's house where I had a much better time than expected.
My cousin has a 2yr old little girl, and we gave her a box of children's art supplies.
She was bound and determined to use her new watercolors on her coloring book, but became quite upset when holes would appear in the wet paper.
So, I ran home and got some watercolor paper and a pack of construction paper.
Here eyes grew sooooo wide when she saw that paper came in different colors. It kind of made me giggle.
After some playing with the water colors, I told here that the colored paper was special because we could make dolls.
By here instruction, I made a princess, with 3 dresses, a table, bowl, cup, spoon and bed.
She busied herself, and I drew a dragon using an outline of my hand. At this point, she demanded I cut out the dragon so it could heat up the princess' food.
At which point it was decided that the dragon needed his own bed and she stated. "He needs a princess dress too!"
So, the dragon, which she plainly stated to the family was a boy, had to have dresses that matched the princess' and a pink blanket for his bed.
I then made a closet to hold all of the pieces so that it would be easier to carry.
To be honest, it was some of the most fun I've had in a long time.
I'm beginning to wonder if it was the one on one I enjoyed, or if I might enjoy teaching something like this to kids in general.

I'm considering looking into it, but I don't see any openings in the county.

Yeah, kids arts and crafts, I have down pat, but I'm still struggling with the grown-up stuff.
