Not my daughter. My cousin, actually, so my uncle's daughter. Earlier this week she had a severe asthma attack and slipped into a coma. She was left braindead, and rather than draw out her life on a machine when there was no chance of recovery, her family pulled the plug. My uncle, her father, lost his wife to cancer when I was young, and never remarried, so he's lost the last member of his immediate family. Today is the funeral, but because I had no way to make it to the airport, I can't be there to support him.
