Taking commissions *very* temporarily...

Recently (in the midst of spring cleaning... bleargh) I've decided to upgrade all of my animal cages and will be using the fabulous work of Quality Cage - http://www.qualitycage.com - as a base (I always hand build a frame for them at the very least so that they fit in better with the antique style of my apartment). This is going to be a considerable undertaking, and my finances are strained from missing work (either it was a significant lupus flare-up or a bout of the plague, I'm not sure, heh). Therefore I will be opening my schedule for some limited commission work, only until the cages are paid for. There are a few things I have to do before I can actually accept the commissions: double-checking my PayPal account (haven't used it in ages), setting up well-defined examples, finalizing prices, etc.. I will edit this journal or post a new one later tonight when these things have been taken care of. I am thinking of offering icons, no-background character illustrations, and comic pages for a start... anything else I should think about offering?
P.S. Anyone with small pets should check out Quality Cage... they build *very* nice pieces and are always keeping up with pet information and changing their product any time they think it can be safer or more enjoyable for the animal for which it is intended. I've used them off and on for years (only not using them when I've built my cages completely from scratch) and I suggest them to everyone that buys a chinchilla from me. Their bird, ferret, sugar glider, and chinchilla cages have all been used by personal friends and none of them would ever shop elsewhere at this point.
