I believe it was some flatulent idiot wearing a sweater and jeans who a week or so ago laughed aloud as he looked up at the night-time sky (and gods therein) during a light drizzle of rain.
"Is this the best you can do??! My old Granny in a wheelchair could make a better Winter than this!!!" And he scornfully laughed at the gods.

Ice is gone. Snow is going. Wind has arrived. Electricity and phone were fixed yesterday afternoon. Cell signal returned yesterday morning, although it is even flakier than usual. Still no internet except what my Droid can get from the cell signal. No power yet at the antenna. No power at the barn, either. Was fun feeding horses their dinner in the dark. Not.

The hard part was not stepping on the barn cats who wanted to make certain I did not forget them. The horses I can see or, at worst, bump into. Besides, they are in their stalls. The cats, on the other paw, are everywhere!

Sorry, but that just sounds so funny.

Cats have this thing about them that since they know exactly where they are, they automatically expect everyone else on the planet to know as well. So it becomes your fault when you accidentally step on them.

It's very hard to accidentally step on a horse.
