A good start would be to go online in a cafe for half hour and make a list of what you owe people and message people

Ok to clear things up, this is the entirety of what I know, I do not live near her, but I texted, saying we missed her can't wait for her to come back. her phone a while back and after over a week she finaly texted me back.

This is the exact text of the message I got back.

"Fff I wanna. Fam got all in a tizzy cause they actualy wentand saw what my commissions were and ive been internet banned since hence the epic poofage, pone's been off and on 'ganked' too though I got most of the commission stuff done aside from the Jasiri ones I dont remember."

When I posted on her page I thought I was doing something nice for her and everyone else by convaying what I got from her one and only communication with me since... november or so.

And I deleted your comment off my page because my page really isn't the place for this kind of discussion.

I'm sorry for your money I too am still waiting for art from her, and tbh, I belive She owes Jasiri the most(Belive he has been her biggest commisioner) I'm sorry she doesn't know what you wanted and likely hasn't been able to work on those. but Honestly all I can say is be patient tell her what you want when she gets back and hopefully she'll work on it as soon as she gets things settled agian.

I have 2 commissions in her queue, that I have paid for and not yet received, so you are not alone with pre-paying for artwork yet to be delivered. However she knows what I want from both of them, there's still an approval phase I'm waiting on one of the pieces, but the other one I am just waiting on her to deliver it.

As far as simply going to an internet cafe, the house Osky is currently at, is about 15minutes by car to the nearest one, her computer with the artwork etc is at her other house which is more like 30min away. She isn't far from the city, but she isn't exactly near anything that would accommodate something like that easily.

I am not trying to make excuses for her behavior or absence; however, her situation is much more complex that it might seem. I wish I could go over and kidnap her, take her to get her computer with the arts and get her to a place (ala my house) with internet...but so far she has only been threatened with dire consequences by her family if she took me up on that offer...so while the offer stands...she is currently unable to accept it. Her family is extremely intolerant of the 'furry' community, and has been doing pretty much everything they can think of to keep her away from it. She isn't in a good position to rebel or to fight back to aggressively...she has no friends in the area that have alternative shelter to offer her (sadly that includes me). But her family is unwilling to accept that she was in a much better place when they tolerated her doing arts.

It's a shitty situation for everyone. He customers, many of whom have actually paid, have not gotten what they paid for. The ones that would pay her for art or buy more art from her, can't. She can't sell art, and she can't even deliver the art she has completed, because its on a computer at a different location which she is not able to get to currently. Until something changes...nothing will change. Kinda an obvious and redundant statement, but yeah...its pretty much true. Nobody wins with the current situation.

Like I said...he's not the only one that has paid for stuff she hasn't delivered...so I can totally understand where he's coming from. It sucks, but I'm still hopeful that she will eventually get back to a point she can be what she was then...its just so hard to be so close to her and not be able to help her any more than what I have so far.

Wow...I would so totally have lost it over that amount. That absolutely sucks. I don't think he's being horrible, nor unreasonable...but at the same time...there's only so much that can be said before one reaches the point of becoming almost repetitive. Having talked with Oskenn recently, I can say that she is pretty stressed out over the whole situation, she probably could be doing a little more to get to a position to make contact and provide some of the work she has been commissioned to do...but I have to trust her when she says 'I can't risk making things any worse by fighting back right now'.

I don't know what more I can do to help her, and I wish I could...for everyone's sake...but she has not given me the impression that she is trying to hide from everyone or that she is intentionally avoiding making contact with everyone. So she is not a lost cause. Beyond that, I can't even guess when we might see her online again...so while I would encourage patience...waiting for an unknown to happen...is a lot to ask of anyone...

Shit happens hope you can get a job and move out or something! I know what its like to have parents stopping you from doing things, and not being able to do anything about it.

As for paying an artist up front... it depends. Some do and insist on it - rightly so because of the speed and accuracy/quality of their work and the demand they're under. They don't want to do the work and then get shafted by a non-paying customer. On the other side of the coin some artists do payments. Others prefer payment after completion - it really depends.

As for Oskenn... she's not even on my radar for being overdue as of yet. Life happens and there have at least been attempts to keep all of us in the loop as best she can.

Give her a bit and let her sort things out.

Where is Oskenn now? :( Is she gone forever? We're closing in on three years absence. Complete and utter. Unless you're stranded on a distant lonely island, you'd probably find internet access at some point, right? I'm worried :(.
