I have a decision to make...

Lately I have been really wanting to get a Mac but don't really know much except what their help desk says which will of course be positive for their product to get me to buy it.
What are some things I should ask when I call back about it? In total the laptop is just about $1099 without tax and the extended warranty to buy. It is the 13inch MacBook Pro

FA+

Well the only game I play is minecraft so not much there but sadly really CPU intensive because of java
Thank you Kitzel, that information is really helpful. I mean I am a freshman in college and from what I have heard from friends that have a Mac say that it is really good for school with not only notes in class (since it is quiet) but also the fact that it is safer than a lot of windows OPs (mainly because the people that make viruses gear them toward what is in most houses which just so happens to be Windows OP)
We havent talked in a LONG time, we should talk more ahaha
Some other things I should mention are: Yes, macs are pretty much virus-proof but not 100%. I cannot stress to you enough how important it is to get the additional Applecare warranty. Apple will really go out of their way to fix anything as long as you are under their warranty. Really, all I can tell you is, if you get a mac, you won't regret it. Just know that before you buy one, if you are used to using windows, you will find that a lot of things are not compatible with mac. When you buy a mac, you are paying for a stable OS and a great, reliable machine.
I hope that might help your decision process a little bit more. I've had my mac since 2009 and haven't had any major problems with it. I absolutely love it, however, it has slown down a bit since I bought it. I will probably be upgrading soon for the sake of a faster process and bigger HD. Since you are doing basic computing, you shouldn't have to worry too much about that. :)
