sharing stuff and ramblings

It feels like my "style" keeps trying to evolve... i often tire of its appearance soon after I've hit a big creatively fertile moment and become dissatisfied with my work & hard to accept sometimes.. in turn making my turnaround time for people unbearably slow sometimes.
I've read some excellent advice from one of my favorite illustrators,

Doodling every day is good for you!! Doodling helps you take in the world around you. It helps you develop your "style".. the inspiration and information that you soak up and subconsciously translate onto paper will carve its own path into your identity as an artist. I like to think its a process much like water running against a stone.. over time it can create a breathtaking canyon.
My "river" is running slowly right now.. its trickling and slowly I'm trying to add more and more sketches so it becomes the roaring river it used to be. The more you feed your passion, the greater it grows until its larger than your spare time, larger than popularity, and becomes intertwined with your self. This of course goes for anything in life.. not just cartoon drawings.
I want to extend a BIG thank you to the people who have helped fuel this, giving me a place to continue to grow. We'll see where the changes are going (even if they're small now) in the next few days..I think i like where this direction is going so far, so I'm going to run with it. You lovely folks have been very patient <3
as for my bookmark + sketch, take your time! there's no rush. :)
I just wish "the general public" would realize being bad at certain things instead of avoiding them is a good thing and not a bad thing. -.-
Saved, faved, and I'm certainly going to keep going back to that as a reminder to myself. >^.^<
<3 We're on the journey together, just at different points in it.
