Favorite movie? Gosh, that's a hard one.... I like so many. But I'd say today my favorite movie is... Nausicaa and the Valley of the Winds.

Funny enough, I got into the fandom via a boyfriend who first got me into Pokemon, then got me into reading furry comics, and I was like "Hey! I like drawing animals, but I've been wanting to draw things with more personal expression, so this is perfect!"

I am ticklish, sometimes. And when I am, I make loud squeaky noises.

Nausicaa was I think the last animated film he did before founding Studio Ghibli.

What's the single most ridiculous thing you've ever been commissioned or requested for?

There was a guy at this one convention who handed me a huge packet of character reference, and wanted his character (a hyper herm) being dominated by my submissive character who would also be drawn as a herm... Uhhh, yupno.

Is it bad the most unusual thing I find about that is the packet of character reference?

It was the most unusual packet of references I have ever seen. Think dozens of little circles with thumbnail images of body parts, previous commissions, unrelated pictures, and photographs, all connected by lines, with descriptions connected to each circle, describing how each picture is relevant to the character being drawn (e.g. "Her ass is huge and rounded, like this but bigger" or "This picture was great but he got her toes wrong"), in about a size 4 font. On each page. For several pages. And also, a page of photographs of himself. It was epic.

That's....I'm not sure whether to be happy someone's coming to me with that much reference or scared that he hadn't found an artist to give him an accurate ref sheet yet. >.>

Holy butts, that's sort of manic sounding. And here I bitch about VAGUE references.

How are your wrists doing? Has the change of climate helped so far?

My wrists are amazing! And yes, Chicago I think has cured me. I still get a little achy, but I think that's more because of how far I've let my physique go while I was in pain, and now my body is saying "HEY! What's this exercise thing you're doing?! Stop it now! "

I sometimes use picture references, but I'm not friends with any supermodels or porn stars willing to pose, so none from real life. Though I've been tempted to go to a strip club to watch the dancers and get pose ideas.

And I probably will draw her again, at some point. She's me, too. Just not the super porn star me. The more normal me.

I was self-taught, with some help from a few Jack Hamm books and so on. I did take one year of art school, but I majored in Sculpture and all I took were the basic 101 prerequisites.

When I was starting out, I didn't really have an inspiration. I just liked drawing things.

Practice. Lots and lots of practice. And basic underlying shapes.

Haha! As far as outside the fandom and graphic arts, I also enjoy crafting and sculpting. I do latex mask casting as a hobby, as well as sewing. I like reading a lot, my favorite books are by Jim Butcher and Terry Pratchett.

What did you say was wrong with your wrists? On that subject, I've been diagnosed with arthritis in my left wrist, any suggestions to help soothe the pain when it really flairs up?

I used to have problems with my wrists when I was doing massage therapy, and later when I moved to WA and started getting fibromyalgia.

As far as arthritis, I'm no doctor, I'd say ask a doctor. You can try gently rubbing the area, and keep exercising, but that's all I can really suggest.

Have you ever seen a movie, heard a song or any other creative medium that had content that seriously bothered or disturbed you? For example, like any "torture porn" movies or anything like that.

I can't watch "torture porn", just can't do it.

Reading the story (unless it's really really bad) is free, as long as it doesn't contain any of the "Will Not Draw" stuff from my commission rules.

Just in general, it can be a mixed breed or whatever, but horns are sexy.

Maybe, it all depends on how I feel, what I'm commissioned for, and so on. I work on inspiration most times.
