I hear ya on that, but no matter how much someone tries to correct the errors of someone's spelling, it won't change a bit. :) Don't let them to you, >_> Personally xD i close down my tabs if things get way to complicated

Personally, I don't give a rats ass how well you spell when using a chat client or texting. If you're posting journals/writing paper you probably should use spell check. Also, judging someones intellectual ability by how well they spell is moronic. That's like expecting Einstein to be able to build a house. Everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses. Maybe you could consider talking to them about it and helping them out.

I was talking about the people that do it cause they think its funny or cute.As well as the people who refuse to change in any way.

Honestly, I see this problem outside of the fandom moreso than I do within it. I've known way too many non-furries who cannot spell to save their life, and don't even care. Believe me, I hate when people don't even make an effort to look like they know how to type, regardless of who or what they do. It's laziness to just use "text speak" everywhere. Hell, even text speak in text messages confuses me, so I don't like seeing it there either. But that's just me; I grew up learning English, and take pride in getting it right, and never use anything but English.

i know what you mean... but i dont think it is just furries. ive seen it everywhere, and yeah it can get annoying, but with a few of my friends we do it to be funny cause we like being silly and dont take it seriously. but yeah, when it gets so bad that you do it all the time and forgot how to spell or use spell check... ugh.
