You say you've spoken about Hypnosis, Transgender and Sociopolitical Ramifications which I'm assuming means social political consiquences but what no one ever talks about even thought I havn't listened to this audio thing your talking about is what happens to someone or something's mind when they become what thay become such as example if a human became a monster of sorts would they lose their mind or would it become altered or would they keep it after they become this new species and I'm talking about if they were never brainwashed, hypnotised, or had anything else done to them that could forcivly destroy or change their mind. This is what intreges me about anything having to do with transformation or anything else on this site. This is a answer that I have been myself pondering over, which I can't tell if my ponderings are the answers I seek or if they are wrong or only part right.

Let me answer you properly then...

The mind changes are up to the writer.

A transformation to the brain in real life has varying effect, but usually detrimental. You don't want to have a damaged brain. Or, a brain on drugs.

If the transformation of the body was over the whole body, then the brain would be affected, too, and the memories of the human would be lost in the new animal brain.

If the brain was preserved somewhat, the major problem would be in loss of higher functions. What separates us from animals is our prefrontal cortex. This allows us to focus on some things and ignore others. Animals don't do that: they see everything all at once and react to it all at once.

A doctor once noted that she felt she knew how animals thought because she was slightly autistic - thinking more in maps and images rather than words and plans.
