Okay, let's forget the fact that idiotic fanrage forcing EA to release a change to the ending of Mass Effect is a load of crap that signals the beginning of the ruination of proper entertainment, and focus on a far, FAR bigger problem this reveals.
The Consumerist's Worst Company in America "award" is decided by consumers. You and me. EA was up against Bank of America for this vote.
EA released a game with an ending people didn't like. Shit happens. In the proper world, if you don't like something a company like EA did, you simply boycott their products. You don't bitch and moan until they fix it to your liking - storytelling sometimes has disappointing endings. DEAL WITH IT, YOU FUCKING MORONS.
Bank of America has FORECLOSED ON HOMES THEY HAD NO RIGHT TO. They literally STOLE homes from families -as well as all their possessions- because the fucking felt like it, and the courts sat there and did NOTHING while every legal expert in the country was citing exactly why -oftentimes in front of a judge- the foreclosures never should have been permitted.
AND YOU FUCKING MORONS THINK EA IS A WORSE COMPANY THAN BANK OF AMERICA?! FUCK YOU! FUCK EVERY LAST ONE OF YOU!!!
I never thought I'd say this about anyone, but I hope Bank of America pulls their shit on you and your family. If you voted for EA in this poll, you deserve to have your home and everything you own yanked out from under you for no legally justifiable reason.
The level of whining about Mass Effect 3's ending was idiotic from the beginning. I haven't played it, so I don't know what happens, but NO ending justifies this kind of bullshit.

A friend of mine pointed out that a single douche with a botnet could have been responsible for this, but even if that's true it's still gone way too far.
While Bioware gets a tip of my hat for addressing the fans outcries, it still leaves a bad taste in my mouth more or the entitled whiners were heard than the sensable of us.
I believe given the amount of fan involvement with how the Mass Effect games allow you to carve your own way, and how Bioware is usually good at letting you alter the ending based on your actions to usually within a 3-4 choice outcome, the ending no matter how you sliced it felt like it disregarded my choices, and felt somewhat like a bland Sci-Fi drop ending.
Still that's my only gripe, the rest of Mass Effect 3, worth every cent I poured into it, and Bioware still will have a loyal fan in me.
But my god, EA getting a worst company award over Bank of America? I feel sick and almost embarassed to call myself a gamer when my fellows cause such a stupid uproar.
As it is I wish to give the finger to every twit who made a "Top X-Number" list of hate against Mass Effect, EA or Bioware, and wish I could go to Bioware HQ and apologize for every fucktard gamer out there embarassing the more rationale of us.
