a good cry

have you ever felt a need to watch something incredibly sad? not because you were depressed or anything, but just wanted to get yourself so emotionally wrapped in something that you bawl your eyes out, just as a kind of release? It can be almost therapeutic, I think.
I generally have a hard time letting my soft side out, who knows why, but there are a few things that will always get my choked up. movies and a tv show. yeah, i know. anyways the first movie is the Shawshank Redemption - when Brooks is orating his letter and carves his note and... i'll leave it at that.... guaranteed to get the waterworks flowing. next, John Coffey's execution in The Green Mile - how could you not shed a tear? Then there's Armageddon - largely a typical hollywood mess, but in Bruce Willis' final scene with his daughter - man, just something about seeing a grown man cry, especially bruce willis. Finally, there's scrubs. i know what you're thinking. but hear me out. Find the episode called "My Lunch," episode 20 of season 5 - its the top ranked scrubs episode. at the end, when Dr. Cox's friend dies, and Cox loses it... I lose it to
so yeah. if anyone has any tissue-grabbing material they feel like sharing, be my guest ^.=.^

I still cry at the end of Saving Private Ryan...sometimes at the beginning.
The video that plays on the live version of "Right Where It Belongs" by NIN...still kind of gets me misty at times.
the one that really caught me off guard though was Gladiator. the scene when he finds his wife and son x.x; i think its mostly the music acopnanyment that goes with the scene that really gets to me ... and just think there was no vocal melody written! she did that all on the spot after the movie was fully cut! the end sometimes does me in too
and the one series that you wouldnt expect to hav a gut wrenching ending to an episode is Futurama, the one episode (jurrasic bark) where he had found his petrified dog. of corse it effects a furry cause you know that dog was just so sad waiting for him to come back to work for five years
alright enough therapy for now ;.; *searches for a hanky*
and i know just that episode - where he's sitting out in front of the pizza shop, and Fry had thought he had forgotten all about him.
Good stuff. i mean, bad stuff. er, well, you know what i mean
