Regarding Swords & Sworcery

Yeah, that pixelcore game just got released on PC lately.
If you're thinking of getting it, you should seriously think twice, dig around a bit. A real "your experience may vary" deal. I'm normally the first to dig a game that is more of an experience than a straight game but this (as of 60% completion) is hollow and pretentious. A game as afterthought to a digital music download, complete with some pretty flat dishonesty about it's gimmicks. The "working with people through twitter" is actually just you advertising their game to your friends, and the "gameplay changing based on real moon phases" is actually just getting your game progress stonewalled based on time and date. Well, stonewalled, with an in-game work-around you may not get to use for 24 hours depending on your luck. Linear in a bad way, so much hand-holding, and no real "game" to speak of. Just... hnnngh.
I guess I'm just a little butthurt because it seemed to have so much potential, but it got wasted. Isn't that always the way though? At least for a bad purchase, it was cheap. The positive reviews it keeps getting are downright baffling to me.
