New internet: ADSL to VDSL2

Wrote a lenghty journal, but then I hit a wrong button and erased it all. ._.
Short version now:
Old internet : ADSL at 2Mbps (was advertised at 12Mbps, but with distance limitations and stability tweaks, they only gave us 2Mbps >>> 256KB/sec. Sucked, couldn't play a game without getting massive lag if someone in the house started watching Youtube videos.
New internet: VDSL2 at 16Mbps (advertised 25Mbps, reduced again because of distance limitations but not as drastic as the ADSL distance limits.). Now downloading at 1,5MB/sec, internet can prioritize and divide bandwidth properly among applications to cause close to no interference between gaming and other activities. No more parents lagging me up when they watch clips on their iPad. Yay.
Will probably be available for streaming a bit more often now, be it gaming or drawing. Now to work on my phone shyness and use voicecom more often in gaming or elsewhere.. ;C

I'm just glad to have a network connection which has put us in a nice comfort zone. It isn't the best out there, but being able to work without massive slowdowns feels soooo gooood.
And sometimes when I'm streaming, my husband decides to play FFXIV with the settings on ULTRA HIGH WOO

The lag actually comes from the higher amount of player data that has to be gathered, or as he put it: "get data about what 400 players are wearing/doing".
Still, part of it could also be caused because you're both uploading data simultaneously, and it kinda chokes everything. It's like breathing out through your nose and mouth at the same time!
