Even the nicest of guys have some nasty within' 'em
You don't have to be backlit to be the villain
Whether it's greed, lust or plain vindictiveness
There's a level of malevolence inside of all of us
I actually heard about the Massive Smile Project quite a while ago, but it wasn't until today - a few meagre minutes ago - that I actually listened to it.
I'll be up front here and come right out - I love big charity singles - no matter how corny they can end up being, I just love seeing a collaboration of totally different musicians come together, donating time and effort to a charitable cause. It is then no surprise that I freaking love this. Good god there must be over a hundred brony musicians on this single four minutes of music. Aaaaaaa it's so awesome.
Anyway, the point of all this is to raise money for two different third world countries, building a health clinic in Uganda (a project that was already half-funded by donations before the above single even came out), and safe homes for orphaned children in Burundi. The former was fully funded in the first few days, the latter is currently around $5,000 away from being fully funded too.
And that's why there's a journal here, right now, you're reading it. After raising over $24,000 already it would be a shame for them to fall short, so I'm spreading the news around a bit! After all, I hadn't even heard this song until today, I bet a bunch of you haven't either.
You even get stuff out of it, such as this exclusive 41 track album of original music by a variety of delightful brony folk.
So go read up and donate. Go. Do it. Donate now. Don't worry. I can wait while you go and give money to sick, homeless, orphaned children. Donate enough and you can even win games, original artwork, custom made toys, clothing and accessories.
Have you donated yet? I should hope so!
Bronies for Good are already a well established charitable organisation, having already raised over $25,000 for children diagnosed with cancer and frequently collaborating with other charitable pony groups such as the Traveling Pony Museum (a travelling museum that gives free toys to hospitalised children) and the Humble Brony Bundle (raising money to fight famine in Africa). It's legit stuff.
So go. Donate. Do it. Do it now.
