I have been playing hardcore to much.

I haven't been playing religiously, and I've been taking my time. Currently in Hell Act II on my Barbarian, but I'm starting to have some trouble, Inferno is going to end up kicking my ass. Really it's all a matter of how good your gear is though, you may have to use the Auction House if you haven't already.

Haven't played it, but I am seriously enjoying the art, cinematics, and Diablo himself. What a hotty!

I've been stuck on Belial on inferno with my demon hunter. Initially i stacked as much vitality, armor and resistance as I could, and used a shield as well. But still being one shot with 48k hp and a shield is bull shit, so I dropped all my vitality gems, went to the AH, and geared out for FULL dps. My DH now has 44k dps (and 28k hp >.<) and I've found it much easier, because I can actually KILL stuff. I still can't solo Belial, but I've been farming gear while my friends lvl up their alts for a DH / monk / barb / wizard party that seems to work pretty well.

Yeah I play DH and did the exact same thing as you, haha. Basically went glass cannon since EVERYTHING one shots you regardless of health. I think I'm at 19k hp with 23k dps unbuffed (50k with sharpshooter/bait), and almost at Belial, but STILL can barely kill the champions. They need to take out the 30s res timer too, I can only make so many sandwiches between deaths. >:|

That, and the god damned "Out of Time" debuff. That shit is soooo ridiculous.

BARBARIAN SMASH!!!!!!! Thats pretty much my strategy and its gotten me to Hell mode so far :)

Well ironically I found out the trick to killing Asmodan on higher difficulties is to smash his face as quickly as possible before he puts down those black circles of death on the ground.

Inferno easy mode = 4 well geared DH's spamming twin chakram.

easiest way i have found is the following team comp. monk, wizard, demon hunter, and barbarian. Just have the barbarian tank everything, the monk keeps throwing out healing and support spells, and the DH and W stay in the back nuking everything to kingdom come.

Eh I would have to talk to my DH friend who is on Act II right now, he seems to be progressing so far. Since I reached Inferno on my Wizard I have had to change up my entire strat, like everyone else (Actually my Barb friend just got easier he can level an elite pack in ten seconds) But mine consists of hoping I can clear an entire field out while I kite the elites around in a circle for five or more minutes. But the hydra has made that easier.

The game has my soul lol...been playing it since launch...just got to act II on inferno and omg I need to gear up again...monks are fun but being melee hurts XD The dmg from mobs went up so much!

I really enjoyed it with my Barbarian until I hit Nightmare. Then I started hating it =( I think I'm done with the game for now.

I pretty much cruised through the first three difficulties with little difficulty.

Inferno is just terrible though, and I'm getting a strong sense that at this point Blizzard is really pushing people to use the Auction House almost exclusively. Nothing I get in Inferno Act I is an upgrade or worth selling on the Auction House to improve my own gear, so I am officially stuck.

I do like going back to previous difficulties and wtfpwn'ing everything with my Wizard-lazers though.

I play really slow, so I am still in act 2 in normal difficulty, that and I have 'alt syndrome' and have characters I only play with certian friends so yeah...XD

I of course got hacked two days after getting the game. Got to love Blizzard's incredibly porous security. Why someone would take the time to hack a level 26 character and take essentially valueless magic items I will never know. Other than that the game has been fun so far.

inferno is hard you need good , by good i mean best gear you can afford , you need better skill and pasive build

My only strategy so far has been farming better gear and kiting like a puss. AND I'M A BARBARIAN, I SHOULD BE FIGHTING FACE ON, NOT RUNNING

You kite... a LOT. And if you're a melee, it's awful D: I have a level 60 barb, WD, and wiz right now. I'm in act II inferno on my WD but I've kinda lost interest in the game at this point. The game isn't "difficult" at that level it's just a constant gear check and one shot fest for the most part... it's very tedious to progress XD; Mostly it consists of zerging into mobs repeatedly and dying over and over. =|

Yeah I agree with you there. I love difficult games and great challenges, but this game doesn't hold my interest. There's never really a scenario where I think I could do better and want to try again. I even bothered to look up some of the "best" players in the world, and they all run into the same exact issue.

Honestly it's terrible game design. Anyone can make an unbeatable game. Blizzard only gets away with it because they have 10 million fanboys that will play it anyway. Ah well... it was fun while it lasted.

yeah exactly, no longevity D: I mean, what are you gonna do, grind for items just so you can have gear that doesn't make a huge difference? There's no fun in that and it just leaves one wanting to do more productive worthwhile things (which might be good for us artists wink wink, nudge nudge)

But yeah! Was a blast while it lasted! I did have some fun leveling alts at least.

honestly i felt like i played the wrong class for inferno, im a witchdoctor and i got to inferno easily but now i die to everything especially if it has mortar grrrrrs.....but from what i can tell you need to group up to make it easier. and from what i can see im more of a mid range dps/support roll character so its like i need a group lol
