Each time I got notified someone uses artwork of her for their characters, I send them a mail.
And each time I've done that, the account was removed. I wouldn't call it dastardly, because in their eyes I'm probably a far more cruel person for wanting them removed :p

i got an accounton flist and when ever i message some one whos pinched my character they delete their account as soon as they log on

doesnt help the general vibe I get from around f-list is if you don´t have a icon image and/or pictures in your character profile ya dont gonna get noticed, so folks are kinda pulled into doing this kinda stuff to get a good chance of actually rping.

when a character is popular enough, people tend to either use it as refs of blatantly copy her as his or her own character. I had this happened to me and is sad how people can be argumentative or throwing you guilt bombs because of it. Then again, you have every right to ask them to remove your info and/or art because is your original and unique character. I think most of the do it because they like the art, to me is abit lazy on their behalf. Theres a ton of art that can be used as reference and also you could ask a very cheap artist to use this description to make a pic you can your own.

Its ludicrous the amount of lazy people in that site, artica, purgatory, era dragon, dmitry are among the top abused character art in the site. I think you are doing right and also giving them a favor actually moving them into trying to create their own designs and have their own commissioned or drawn art.

Sexy monkeys are rare in the fandom. Someone looking for a wolf or a cat will have a zillion pic to try to pilfer from. But hot monkey babe pics are so few, people will keep trying to pilfer yours I suppose.

i know it is pretty bad to use pictures in this way, but i can see that someone who may be good at rp may not be so good at drawing, the lure must be pretty strong to do such a thing in the first place..

on the flipside, if someone asked, and provided refs to you, would it be as bad? i think if someone asked me and told me it was merley for refrence, id be cool with that...
