So....Califur

Yeah, I bopped on down to Califur on Saturday.
The initial plan was to quick hit the con, have some fun and shake out some modifications I made to my fursuit. Things started out well -- surprising friends who didn't think I'd be there, playing some cards, having fun, etc.
Unfortunately, I got hit with some sort of stomach ailment later in the evening that brought me down for the rest of the night. I'm thinking it could have been the pre-prepped food from the banquet at the con or the Rubios fish taco I had when I landed. Whatever it was, it was a pretty miserable late night for me.
Ah well! I suppose it was only a matter of time before I got sick at one of these things. I'll try to be back for the whole enchilada next year!

Shoot! If I only had the money to burn (and that would include the now $85/day for Disneyland) I'd fly down, make a day or two of this con, then spend the rest of the week at Disneyland.
Sadly.. money talks and I need to earn and save as MUCH as possible.
I originally wasnt going to go, but I got good airfare into Long Beach.

A con is no place to be sick at. Being up in the room getting to know your bathroom real well blows ass when everyone else in the hotel is having a great time.
At least I seem to be recovered from it now. Guess I'll just have to get more fun out of Anthrocon than I thought. :)
