Foxtrot - Fridays/Saturdays?

Hey Denver/Foco/Springs locals!
For those familiar with Foxtrot, we recently have been asked by the bar to move our event to Friday, as they are changing their bar format, and making Friday nights their "party nights." We have a great relationship with the bar, as they have really done all the can to help make our event successful.
Last week we tried the first Friday event ever. It was lots of fun, but the attendance was noticeably down.
We know that there are a few furry events on Friday that might be competing, along with the fact that people are getting off work, or working late.
Would love to see some comments below about whether you think Friday is going to work in the long run. If we go back the bar and try to negotiate back for Saturdays, I want to have lots of good reasons for ammunition.

I would argue that more people means more money for them but that one is obvious.
I'll try and think of more reasons because there were a few people I know that couldn't make it since it changed to Friday.
Luckily, this last time I got off much earlier and had time to relax before heading to the trot. I was late because my friend got caught up at work. He works Saturday too but gets off at 5p. Friday doesn't really work too well with him either.
Point is, if it keeps on happening on Friday then I might not be able or willing to go to future events.
I am trying to find weekday work. If I do, I'm hoping it won't interfere with Foxtrot.
My normal Fridays are up at 6, working by 7:30 and until 5. So by the time 9PM rolls around after a 90 minute drive to Denver, I'm on the downside of being "awake". With Saturday, I can plan my entire day around FoxTrot, and be there until 2AM!
