I think I'm going to take up proofreading as a sort of hobby. If I find a fic which I like but which has punctuation or gramatical errors, I'll make the proper corrections and send it back, possibly with notes on potential improvements. Because dammit, I see too many fics with distracting errors, and I think it's high time someone did something about it. It's not a big job, but I think it'll be a nice hobby

I would actually ask for your assistance if I wasn't so worried about theft (not necessarily by you or the person helping, but if they happen to share it, someone else could), I'd ask you to help with my own story as I try to make sure it makes sense and that no plotholes show up.

In terms of proofreading, especially in terms of SMUT proofreading, I tend to work alone. I can understand your concern, but know that if I proofread someone else's story, then the story would be for my eyes alone until the author wants to release it.

ah, my mistake. Considering the site we're on, I thought it would be something dirty. I do want to do some proofreading on written stuff in the future, because I've seen way too many potentially good stories, especially smut stories ruined by things that could have been easily fixed if the author had just given the story to someone else to look over with a critical eye. So I wanted to do something about it. Don't know where I'd start with such a thing though.
