My Inspiration.
I've done some thinking about the pieces that I have folded and the artists that designed them, and I've come to the conclusion that there are different reasons that I like these artists.
For example, I idolize Robert Lang because of his organic shaping style and insect designs that are nothing short of perfect. However, I like John Montroll because his work has influenced me more than anyone else's.
His style leaves a lot of room for me to shape and mold his pieces to my liking. I've never really understood an artist for their style until John Montroll. Robert Lang is more of a goal to me. I want to be able to fold more organic models like him, but John Montroll's work has helped me understand how the models would look without all of the shaping and curving.
I just wanted to get some of these thoughts out and I really hope you guys ask yourselves the same questions.
