Planning and Putting things on Paper

When I say that I look ahead, I generally mean it. Most of the time, I've been keeping it all in my head. I've planned out so many story branches, though, that things are slipping through the cracks. I've started writing things down for me. There is no reason not to share some of it with readers.
This image is a spoiler-free copy of my current plan chart. The twelve lines listed in green are the ones done so far for version two. The 48 others are story chapters that have little or no planning left to be done. If I had the time, the energy, and the motivation, I could complete one of those. If you don't see a chapter listed on that image, it's because I only have a nebulous idea of what I want to do with it. I still need to brainstorm on it a little.
I very intentionally have each character headed for a different starting location. I want to provide as much variety as possible, with limited overlap until I have many times more chapters than I do. The last thing that should be happening is for each character to be wandering around different versions of the same building while I have other regions to explore.
I've been asked in the past about suggestions or community submissions. One might see how those can be difficult, when I have things in mind for chapters seven forks down the road.
That said, I always want to update with new content when I can. Nothing is more motivating than people favouritng, watching, or just plain viewing my work. This largely only happens when I have something to upload. I'm really not the type to spam reader's walls with thanks for what have you; I find it self-serving. I just tend to be smile at my alerts and move on, but I really am thankful.
