Well, Sooo much happened at Anthrocon, I am sure nearly every journal is going to buzz with reports about parties, happenings etc.. It is going to be the same here =)
Let me cue up some tunes... I figure Skrillex will be appropriate. Ok got that rolling.. Lets see what my fingers can kick out for your face.
Wensday... I land... check into the hotel and realize that I cannot for the life of me spell Wednesday... Found a bottle of booze in the room... plan of attack for Thursday... 1 shot... 2 shot ..red shot... 10 shot sleep.
Thursday.. Woke up, somehow. Scampered off to the dealers den for setup. Everything arrived .. me and 2 argue about how the display is assembled... I could have saved myself 20 minutes by just saying "You were right.. shoulda listened to bird." .. That is until we both realize that in the assembly process, we had created something that should be mercy killed ... We both agree to never speak of this again... Oh... please unread that..
Friday.. Dealers room insanity! Sooo many of my friends came to the table hoping to get some time to chill with a bunny... I tried soo hard to get out but there was so much work to get done, I was only able to slip out now and then for a smoke... and socialize.. Dear Ray ... I owe you drinks next year..
Friday night... 2's show... Everybody scatters in the main ball room. Finally got to hear 2's new show (I dont usually get to hear it until its being performed) All of the stories were unfortunately... damn near word for word true... yes... I laughed my ass off and cringed... realizing that was not the best collection of stories he has on me.
Mental note, Start writing material of my own... maybe rope 2 into a small domestic life story/panel show.. thing..
Rush back to the room and furiously burn CD's ... drink booze... collapse
Saturday, sell out of the CD's in little under an hour... shot glasses were gone fast.. first hour and half I think.. Tons of you came to the table asking to hang out with me... I had solid plans to do so.. this did not pan out... look at my cigarette pack sometime after 5.. realize I had more than half a pack left from what I bought thurs. morning... look at my wallet... where is my room key?... damn
Saturday night... Fernando Gathering... its a blur... god it was fun. Witchie, you are the best, Bryant Fox You have no idea what it was I had you pour out... lets pray nobody finds out what it was and how much of it got wasted.. =D
Sunday.. Normal Day... 2 is perky.. more so than usual. I am in a great mood ... we tare down at 2pm.. 2:30-ish time to run off with boxes to ship them. get to fed-ex pay 10$ for parking ACROSS THE FUCKING ROAD... Fed-Ex is closed.. Parking attendant says "wow its never been like that before... duhhhhh" =) no worries.. All is taken care off. Bit of a rush but I managed to make it to the 2 and Kage story hour.. hmm.. where is the bird? it's not like him to be late....
The Proposal... Ok, I was enjoying myself at the show... when 2 called me up... I was not expecting it. I was happy to jump up and say hello to everyone.
Small side note... being on stage is suddenly not intimidating when your retinas are being cooked by the sun at a distance of 20 feet... If you are ever given the chance to hop on stage, please ask for the 30K watt flood lights and have them pointed directly at your eyes.. Problem solved..
"Toast, I would like to ask you, infront of all of these people..." I am expecting a punchline.. "Will you marry me?"
You know when they say your life will flash before your eyes before you die? apparently your future can do this too..
Words could not describe how I felt, how I still do feel today... and how I will feel tomorrow. I nearly forgot to give my answer... "Yes" pretty much the last words I could form from that moment on.
Monday... Spent a wonderful day relaxing with 2.
Tuesday.. Romantic dinner at a nice hidden spot..
Wensday.. still hate the spelling so please look to your left for the new proper spelling of this word. Got to meet some GREAT furs from MN.. guys.. please stay in contact... "So much fun.."
Wensday night.. I wonder if Kage would consider getting JG Quintel as a GOH at some point... creator of Regular Show ... and one cool dude.
Thursday... Well... it kinda is if you are in PA... so writing my FA Journal..
I have had zeeeeero sleep...
Am I going to get into performing? I was asked this once already... Simply put ... Yes.. but management has some morality issues... we are working on this.
