When going on a tour with the danish military there is a few things that needs to be preparede before you leave. Before you get the papers stuck into your paw you walk around jokig about going and making fun of every thing and having a laugh with you platoon mates and so.
Then you get some papers that will change your perspective quite a bit. Papers, that even though you know that where your going there is no real threat, makes you think again.
The papers im talking about is "your last will" and farewell letters.
For those of you who have never written any of those before or dont know what it is then its papers that a nescarry incase that you die during action.
"your last will" is were you make your descision on how you want to be buried, what you want to wear in your coffin, what music that you want to be played and which songs you want to be song.
Farewell letters is pretty is to guess what is :/
Its not that difficult to finish "your last will" its retty straight forward and easy to write.
No the difficult part is to write your farewell letters to your parents and loved ones. What would you want to say to those you leave behind, how do you want to say it and how do you say goodbye, this is some of the most defficult i have ever tried in my life to write.

FA+

mom and for the second time in my life i seen my dad cry which was weird and made me kinda realize how serious this could be.man i was so mellow back then.you think i would of shed a tear out of fear but nope I was just meh about it but i think parents didnt really fill me in on what they talked about with the docs.
Its far from what you experienced and FAR less serious. I think that maybe your parents still clung to the hope that it would far more simple and it would go over soon. When they got those papers i think that what hope they had for it to be "simple" disappeared.
Fear and how we cope with it can be very different from person to person. You might have tried to cope with it, through thinking it of to something minor.
I truly hope you got better :)
Good to hear your well.
