Ugh. I know the feeling. For a while, there was somebody going around on sites like Habbo, Bebo, Facebook etc. registering under the name RipRoarRex and reposting all my artwork. Fine in some ways, given that it's still under my name and serves as a bit of free promotion. What I took exception to however was them pretending to be me when responding to other people - particularly as said individual conducted and expressed himself in a manner rather different from myself.

Maybe this is their way to grab their attention, maybe to scam others to commission them and not you. Be aware of this guy.

While kinda creepy in a stalker type way, I'd think the only real worry for someone making a claim like that is if they started telling people that they handled commission type stuff for you, and used that to trick people into 'commissioning' you via them, pocketing the money themselves, and getting you the blame.

Blotch have been the target of things like this, someone claiming to be a third member of team Blotch, perhaps it is the same dude? Why do people do these things? Also just a fair warning, I read that impersonators have been doing more than just pretending to be all cozy with the person they are leeching onto, they tend to scam for money. Take care
