This is the description for the Drachen alien race from my story.
龍族分為龍人和龍女；但是龍女有較高的文化發展和人文制度，係龍人無可比擬者。因此必須分開來談。
Male and Female Drachens are so different that they are categorized separately. Female Drachens, the Drachenins, is more civilized and more developed than male Drachen.
基本上龍女有著類似於人的生理構造，但是有龍的翅膀和腳爪。加上翅膀一共有六肢。龍女的指甲較像爪子，比人類的硬而且更厚實。髮色從金色、紅色到棕色都有，也有少數的紫色和黑色。膚色也不一定，有相當白皙的，也有健康的紅棕色。某些龍女會長出色紋各異的龍紋，其色紅棕不定，但龍紋一般被視為高貴的象徵。
Drachens look like humans with dragon wings and claws, and counting their wings they have six limbs. Their nails are claw-like, longer and thicker than normal human nails. Most Drachenins' hair colors ranged from blonde, golden, to red or brown, though in rare cases: magenta and black. The skin colors are either white or tanned red. Some Drachenins have patterned red or brown markings on their skin that act both as camouflage and as a symbol of nobility.
龍女的科技大約在青銅器時代，不過仍使用許多石器。仍然是採集狩獵的生產方式，已知用火，但是沒有文字。龍女生活在懸崖邊，穴居，以魚、小型動物和鳥類為食。
Drachenins are in their bronze age, but stone-made tools can still be seen. They feed mainly through hunting and gathering. They know how to use fire, but have not yet developed a written language. Drachenins live in mountainous areas, especially canyons with caves. Fish, small animals, and birds are common foods for Drachenins.
她們過著部落生活，某些部落已經發展出了莊園經濟。雖然有種殖作物，但大多是水果而非穀類。這可能是因為峽谷不適合大規模農作。一般分為貴族、祭司、平民三種身份。貴族一般由血統優秀（有龍紋）、聰明、戰技高超的人出任，但優秀的平民也可能成為下一代貴族身份繼位者或將領。但一般來說多由貴族的女兒繼任。
They live in tribes with feudal economy system. They grow no crops in farms but fruits, since canyons are unsuitable for crops. There are 3 classes within Drachenins society: Nobles, priests, and civilians. Nobles can be distinguished by their markings, superior skills in combat, and superior intelligence.
龍女的宗教信仰不深，在她們的生活中理性成份較濃。她會會祭祖，但不認為祖先會疪祐她們；但是她們卻以發光宗耀祖為榮。祭司主要主持兩種宗教儀式，即祭祖和生育。祭司會在每年春分時節帶領全族人前往某充滿水之處，和湖泊、池糖或溪水邊，和少數龍男進行生育祭。其他時間龍男出現並不受歡迎。祭司會在水邊空地升起營火和狼煙並和龍女們一起跳舞。這時龍女們會穿上衣服和首飾，一同歌唱。藥草和香草是必備品之一；龍女們會將一整年收集來的花草帶來，穿在身上互相比較，因為香氣也是自己的裝飾。衣服和首飾通常是編織品，並不是防寒物，而是慶典用的裝飾。
Drachenins' are not heavily religious, and are fairly logical by nature. They worship their ancestors, but do not believe the spirits of ancesters would help or protect them, they simply are proud of their ancestors and trying to be even better. Priests hold two main religious rituals - ancestral worship and mating ritual. Every spring, priests bring the entire tribe to a place of rich water and hold the mating ritual with some male Dracheners involved. The presence of male Dracheners are not welcomed at other times of the year. Priests will raise a fire and dance with other Drachenins. Drachenins only wear clothes and jewelries during this mating ritual, while they are mostly naked in other time of the year. Herbs and spices are also an important element of the ritual; Drachenins will bring a year's worth of spice and herbal collections and compare them with one another, since they are also considered a kind of adornment. Clothes and necklaces are usually woven by themselves, not for warmth but their presence during the mating.
夏天龍卵會自行孵化。龍女們會集中並輪班育嬰、餵食。在第二性徵出現前，龍女不會分別龍子的性別。但到嬰兒長大到六、七歲時，進入春春期，龍男就會開始長毛（而龍女是不長毛的）；因此，龍男就會被強迫放逐，讓他在野外獨自生活。龍子的夭折率很高，雖然每年都生小龍，但存活率只有十分之一。
In the summer, the Drachenin eggs will hatch. All eggs and youth are taken care of together, als Lebensborn. Drachenins will take turns care for the young so others can go hunt for them. Before the coming of puberty, Drachenins will not distinguish between the youngsters' genders. When the children reach their adolescence around the age of 6 to 7, Dracheners will begin growing body hair (which Drachenins lack). At this point Dracheners will be forced out of the tribe als in exile and live on their own. Young drachens have a high mortality rate, only 1 of 10 can survive to their adulthood.
龍女祭司也是醫師、心理師和解夢者。她們不會占卜，但是會吟唱傳說和古老的故事來勸導他人。祭司會使用藥草、礦石治病，也會簡單的外科技術。生育和患病都少不了她。
Drachenin priests also act as healers, counselor, and dream-teller. They do not involve in fortune-telling, instead they sing about tales and legends of the past to pass them onto the younger generations to solve thier trouble. Priests cure diseases with herbs and minerals, and can perform rudimentary surgery. They play an essencial role in child-birth and curing illnesses.
不過，秩序維持、組織管理、工作和食物分配是由貴族負責。龍女有許多不成文的習俗和禁忌（taboo），違反了會受刑罰。貴族也是戰爭和圍獵行動的指揮者。
The maintanance of order in the society, distribution of food and arbeit is upheld by the nobility. Drachenins have many traditions and taboos, and any violation will result in severe physical punishment. Nobilities are also in command of warfare and hunting activities.
龍女的社會組織是部落社會主義。除了個人的戰鬥裝備和飾品之外，大部份東西是共同製造、共享使用的。由於龍女的部落人類最多也不會超過三百人，這種原始社會主義相當適合。社會分工協調由貴族負責，尊奉英雄，和傳統的北歐類似。
The Drachenin society is a tribal socialist system. Aside from personal combat equipments and jewelries, most other items are made together and shared in their usage. Because most tribes have a population below 300, this type of system works rather well. The distribution of work by the nobility and the worshiping of heroes are very similar to the Nordic-Scandinavian society.
